Rapper YNW Melly Joking Around In Prison Despite Reportedly Facing Death Penalty

After being arrested months ago and dropping a music video with Kanye West, young rapper YNW Melly became a popular name on the hip hop scene.

Currently, Melly’s life and career hang in the balance as he was accused of killing two of his friends, YNW Melly has pleaded not guilty on the killings but the Florida police state that they have enough evidence to prove that the young rapper actually committed the crime.

Melly has been in prison for over two months now after being arrested on February 13th just 20 days after being released from jail in January. Reports from TMZ earlier states that Melly could be facing the death penalty with regards to the killing of his two friends if found guilty.

Amidst all the despair over his future, Melly is sending out some positive energy via pics of him looking happy while in jail, see pics below.

Cop Killing, the YNW leader is also currently being sorted for the killing of a police officer which took place two years ago. Investigators believe that he was in the area when an off duty cop got killed and he could very much be one of the shooters in the killing.

Melly’s most popular song is called “murder on my mind” and has rocked up over 200mil views on youtube in nine must. Common belief is that Melly sings about wanting to kill his friends in the song.

YMN Melly stated in an interview that he actually wrote the song while he was in jail. Popular line from the song states “i wake up in the morning and i got murder on my mind”.

Melly was also arrested in high school for firing gunshots not too far away from the school he attends, Melly explains in an earlier interview that he got his G.E.D in Jail.

YNW is only 19 years old.
