Brentford F.C., home of Reggae Boy Ethan Pinnock, was foiled by Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and succumbed to a 1-0 defeat during Wednesday’s Premier League match.

Pinnock and his fellow Bees were unable to recover from Rashford’s first-half goal in the 27th minute. United held superior possession of the ball during today’s game and placed three shots on target out of a total of 18.

With an inferior 27% of the possession, Brentford searched for an opening in the second half, and a shake-up by head coach Thomas Frank in the 62nd minute that saw Shandon Baptiste, Kevin Schade, and Josh Dasilva replace Mathias Jensen, Bryan Mbeumo, and Mikkel Damsgaard had seemingly invigorated the West London club.

However, as Brentford pressed for a goal, Rashford continued to create possible openings for Manchester United. United goalkeeper David de Gea countered one of the Bees’ biggest chances of netting an equaliser in the last 30 minutes, thwarting Schade’s attempt after he was sent through United’s goal by a flick around the corner by Ivan Toney.

As it stands, Brentford is now positioned in ninth place in the Premier League with 43 points. Notably, Pinnock had a decent game against Manchester United as his season so far in the EPL.
