Released Footage Shows 64YO Drunk Driver Speeding into Nail Salon Killing 4 Including Cop

Newly released CCTV footage shows the harrowing moment an accused drunk driver slammed into a Long Island nail salon, resulting in the deaths of an off-duty NYPD officer and three others, while injuring nine more.
The incident, which occurred on June 28, shows a minivan, driven by 64-year-old Steven Schwally, barreling over a curb and briefly going airborne before crashing at full speed into Hawaii Nail & Spa in Deer Park.
The tragic crash claimed the lives of Emilia Rennhack, a 31-year-old off-duty NYPD officer who was getting her nails done for a wedding later that day, along with Jiancai Chen, 37; Yan Xu, 41; and Meizi Zhang, 40. A 12-year-old girl was among the injured.
Schwally was arraigned on driving while intoxicated charges on July 1 in Suffolk County court. He reportedly admitted to police that he had consumed 18 beers before the crash.
