Ricardo Fuller is the only Reggae Boy, current/former, to make a compilation by the English Premier League (EPL) of the most iconic solo goals in the league’s history.
The compilation of goals, which is featured on the league’s official YouTube channel, features solo goals from several EPL legends. Iconic goals by players such as Sergio Aguero, Eden Hazard, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres, Mohamed Salah, and Gareth Bale were included in the compilation.
During his time playing in the EPL, Fuller scored 19 goals. It was the Tivoli native’s goal for Stoke City in 2010 in their match against West Ham on March 26 that made the list.
Fuller secured his iconic goal two minutes after going onto the field, skilfully dodging West Ham’s defenders to find the back of the net. Fuller’s goal secured a 1-0 victory for Stoke City.
Before leaving Jamaica to play football in Europe, Fuller was a member of the Jamaica Premier League club Tivoli Gardens F.C. In addition to his time with Stoke City, Fuller has also played with clubs such as Preston North End, Portsmouth, and Southampton.
The footballer-turned-coach made 72 appearances for the Jamaican national team during his career.
