Rifles, Sub-Machine Gun And Ammunition Seized In St. James
The St. James Police have several seized high-powered guns and ammunition during a joint police-military operation this morning. The operation conducted in the Canterbury community of the parish led to the recovery of two powerful rifles (M16 rifle and AK47 rifle), a sub-machine gun and a cache of ammunition.
Meanwhile, it was less than 24 hours ago the Clarendon Police made a seizure and an arrest in Hays Community of Clarendon. The target operation Monday morning led to the recovery of a shotgun along with 8 cartridges and one man was arrested in connection to the seizure.
An investigation into this seizure is currently ongoing.
