Rihanna Says She Will Be Making New Music For Next Album “Now I’m prepared to go back in the studio”

Years after announcing that she had an album on the way, popstar, Rihanna is finally ready to get back onto the music scene. The 36-year-old Mother of two has been less active on the music scene in recent times, releasing her last single Lift Me Up in 2022.
Her most recent performance was at a live show for an Indian wedding in early 2024.
During an interview on Monday, June 10, at the launch for her new brand Fenty Hair, Rihanna spoke about how differently she sees music today and starting her musical career anew.
She said, “Music for me is a new discovery, I’m rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda just put all that stuff aside and now I’m prepared to go back in the studio.”
Continuing, she voiced that she does not want to neglect the songs that she has already put out into the world and so she will “go back and listen to stuff with new ears” and a new perspective so that she can decide which of her songs she is still in love with.

The video, posted on TikTok, received mixed reactions from fans who either are really excited to have confirmation that Rihanna is not done with music, or those who do not want to get their hopes up only to wait for another few years.
Kaeniicole commented, “So another 10 years,” and Armel Ntsinzi wrote, “Why is she doing this to us she know da*n well she is getting another baby before we getting an album.”
