Robber Killed By Police In The Vicinity Of Six Miles Bridge, Kingston

The Metro Quick Response Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) was patrolling the Riverton area when they received a call about men allegedly robbing people on their way from work in the vicinity of the Six Miles Bridge in Kingston.

Upon their arrival, it is reported that a gun battle ensued between the officers and two men, where one of the men was shot. The other man escaped across the roadway.

A pistol was retrieved from the injured gun man – a Smith and Wesson 9mm. The unidentified injured man was brought to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment but was soon pronounced dead.

The police are investigating the matter.
