Ronaldinho Spends 40th Birthdayday in Jail, faces 6 months

Nelson Cuevas the Former River Plate striker, Ronaldinho’s friend, visited him as he is currently behind bars for allegedly attempting to enter Paraguay with a fake passport.

After meeting Ronaldinho, Cuevas said that the 39-year old footballer is sad, because of the terrible situation, he hoped that the former Barcelona player can get out soon.

Ronaldinho is in jail alongside his brother Roberto de Assis. Ronaldinho is now in a special prison and his living condition more comfortable when compared to the other inmates, Cuevas said.

“The place is big, and he was able to play football too. He is with his brother in a room with two beds.” Ronaldinho’s friend told a reporter.

The Brazilian superstar who faces six months in prison will spend his 40th birthday in prison on March 21.

On Saturday, Ronaldinho scored five goals and set up six more as his side won 11-2, he played against other inmates at the facility he’s locked up at.
