Rytikal the new 2020 Break-out Male Dancehall Artiste
Fast-rising dancehall artiste Rytikal who is signed to Eastsyde Records recently sat down with Winford Williams of OnstageTV to talk about his rise in Dancehall over the past year.
Rytikal while talking to Williams explains that he has a 90s flow however he speed it up to match the current fast pace vibe in dancehall.
“Mi a do music long time still enuh” Rytikal explains that he had a bigger brother who always made music around him while he was just age 8 or 9, he highlights that he usually take his brother’s lyrics and deejay it at a younger age.
Rytikal details that his bigger brother is now an engineer in music something that he helped his brother to persue.
The young dancehaller states that he is from St.Thomas and went to high school but did not graduate, something he is still looking forward to doing.
The 25 year old who was born in 1995 states that he started making music professionally in 2016 at age 23.
Who were your influences Winford asked? to which Rytikal replied explaining that Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel and other dancehall greats are his inspiration hence he paid homage in his latest musical release titled 90s.
He was next asked about Skillibeng, Rytikal replied stating that SKillibeng is his general because he is the one who brought him to Eastsyde Records, something he is grateful for.
