Sean Kingston’s Mother, Mama Kingston Arrested and Charged, Home Raided

The mother of Jamaican-American singer-rapper Sean Kingston, 61-year-old Janice Turner who is more commonly known as Mama Kingston was arrested and taken to police custody Thursday morning.

The arrest took place after Southwest Broward Sheriff’s deputies and Davie Police SWAT members served a search warrant at a mansion that is being reportedly rented by Kingston, located on Southwest 178th Avenue.

As per reports, Mama Kingston was slapped with ‘numerous charges’, stemming from a lawsuit Kingston received for reportedly not paying for purchased items. Kingston reportedly took “$150,000 television sound system” from a seller and promised to make promotional content with Justin Beiber in return for offsetting costs, Kingston reportedly made a small down payment but did not follow up with his side of the deal.

As per, Ver Ver Entertainment LLC, Kingston initially contacted via social media in September of 2023 with regards to obtaining the items. The entertainer reportedly sent $30,000 after a contractual agreement.

According to a lawyer, “He likes having bling, he likes showing off, he’s a showman,” attorney Dennis Card said. “My client has a $150,000 television sound system that’s in there, there’s also about $1 million worth of watches that are in there, there’s a $80,000 custom bed that was ordered. This is an organized systematic fraud.”

It’s unclear if Sean Kingston whose real name is Kisean Paul Anderson was home at the time of the raid.
