Security Guard Killed and 10mil Taken in Portmore Robbery – See Photos

In a brazen early morning shooting, gunmen shot and killed one officer of the Guardsman Group and left another injured while they were carrying out their duties earlier today, based on information garnered from the Jamaica Star.

It was reported that the two men were loading an automated banking machine (ABM) at the Portmore Pines Mall in Portmore St. Catherine when they were pounced upon by an unknown number of gunmen.

Images that were posted on Instagram of the scene depict the mall’s parking lot with a number of vehicles and yellow caution tape. A vehicle from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and two officers were also seen in one of the images, apparently conversing as they walked along the premises.

According to reports, a bag was taken by the robbers which contained about $10 million, they managed to escape via a white Subaru car that was said to be waiting on them.
