Shaggy Honoured for Service to US Marine

When he was recently recognised for his support and service for fellow veterans at a Boston Veteran’s Day dinner.

Shaggy, whose given name Orville Burrell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1988, he served with a Field Artillery Battery during the Persian Gulf War, in the Marine Regiment.

The Grammy-award winning Jamaican artiste was recognised on Thursday, November 7, at the fundraiser, which took place at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. It was held for honouring the service of military families and recognise the non-profit’s biggest supporters.
