Shane E Talks Tommy Lee Sparta Feud… +Cousin Corey Merital’s Death
In a recent interview with Entertainment report, fast-rising Dancehall artiste Shane E spoke about where he’s from, flankers, Tommy Lee Sparta fallout and his cousin Corey Merital being killed.
The Tommy Lee Issue? 29-year-old Shane E he explains that he took Tommy Lee Sparta’s title, stating that Tommy Lee is running with people topic, pointing at Blessings, “Tommy Lee nuh hot” he said. Is it personal Anthony asked? SHane E aka Drog Lord responded stating that noting is personal between the two, it’s just a lyrical battle between the two. Shane E states that Tommy Lee should defend his Mobay Godfather title as he is the new Godfather to Mobay.
The death of his cousin Corey Merital, ” mi nuh really wah talk about it… R.I.P to cory Merital a mi Idol” he explained that he looked up to Corey in music more than anyone else. Derrick ‘Corey’ Edwards was shot and killed in Montego Bay back in 2015.
Shane E’s type of Music
“mi put out violent music, mi nuh violent” Shane E explains that he’s a jovial person, he’s an entertainer so he gives the people what they want to hear, he also went on to state that if it takes gun songs to remain relevant then he will continue to make gun songs however he is willing to turn the negativity into positive.
“Jamaica neva tek on to certain Shane E music at one point” the Mobay native went on to explain that Trinidad first recognized Shane E then Jamaica after “Trinidad gi me a big strength run with Blessings and Gone Sleep… mi touch Trinidad mi cum een like a gad” he states.
2015 was his breakout year with “100 duppy” gun song, Shane E states that he highlighted artistes who got the break before him but did not help him back, seemingly throwing shades at Rygin King who was featured in his 100 Duppy music video.
Earlier Shane E stated that he feels hurt about Rygin King playing Tommy Lee music to Spite him “man gaan feel away about it yes”, Shane E, however, pointed out that himself and no artiste has beef, he’s focusing on his music and vloggers should stop from trying to separate artistes.
Shane is scheduled to perform at Reggae Sumfest this summer in Mobay.
