Shaneil Muir Bashes Mother for Defamation Post; Says “the devil has risen!”
It is public knowledge that Dancehall sensation Shaneil Muir and her Mother Suzette Gilburn are not on the best of terms and trouble is once again brewing between the two as Gilburn seems to have taken aim at her daughter via an online Facebook post.
In a previous interview on Sim’s Soul Sessions, Muir had spoken about not having her mother in her life at a young age when she needed her (she grew up with her grandmother) and finally being in a peaceful enough place with herself to go no contact with her mom after she had reconnected with her.
This led to her mom releasing a letter where she stated she wanted nothing from her so she would fulfil her daughter’s wishes to stay out of her life.
However, Muir uploaded a post to social media on January 19, where she revealed her mother bashing her for switching up because of money. The post said, “Money change you eeeee?” and was attached to the video of a young Shaneil Muir singing about her mother.

Muir responded with the caption, “And the devil has risen! 😂Here, let me help you get some highlight. MOTHER OF THE YEAR!”
Following up with a lengthy statement and a picture of her grandmother (who passed away last year) and herself in a loving embrace, Muir pointed out that her grandmother is the woman who raised her to be who she is today and called her, “MY ANGEL.”
Imploring that her mother “LET IT END BEFORE IT START,” Muir addressed her by her nickname, Queenie, and said she was issuing a warning.
The Exclusive singer further noted, “I AM GIVING YOU UNTIL THE END OF DAY TODAY TO RETRACT AND PUBLICLY MAKE ACCOUNT FOR ALL YOUR LIES YOU HAVE SPREAD ABOUT ME AND MAKE IT RIGHT!”

Many people had things to say in the comment section under Muir’s IG post, some in agreeance with her and others who stated that it is wrong to blast one’s parents on social media.
Foreigner.876 said, “REGARDLESS of What, A You Mother Make You Be A Woman TODAY,” to which Muir responded, “Of all the comment this is the most sadistic one 😂 made me the lady I am today??!! HOW???…Uno don’t provoke me!”
Similarly, someone else pointed out that no matter what her mom did, she is still her mom “and you need not blast her on social media it’s not cute…”
Another individual mentioned, however, that, “Sometimes our mother is our biggest enemy I can tell u that from experience.”
