Shawn Storm Says ’29 Days To Go’ Before Freedom

Incarcerated dancehall artiste Shawn Campbell who is more commonly known as Shawn Storm appears to be optimistic about getting an early release from prison after his much-anticipated appeal which involves Vybz Kartel and two others is heard at the Privy Council court.

The Gaza artiste shared his feelings with his fans on social media on Wednesday night, 29 days before the upcoming court proceedings in February.

Back in October, Shawn Storm also showed optimism about his release by promoting a possible “Gaza Concert” for the coming year that would include the sons of Kartel, Kartel himself, Shawn Storm, and other supporters of the Gaza family.

The pending appeal is scheduled to be heard by the United Kingdom’s Privy Council on February 14 and 15, 2024.

Campbell’s January 17 post was tagged with Vybz Kartel’s song ‘Babylon Seh Jail For Me’. He also used the following caption, “#29DaysToGo GAZA #FREEDOM #GOD&TIME @vybzkartel @shawn_storm_official Uptoditime yuhnuhknodatttt GAZANATION #PrayWithUs 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.”

The heading of the document shared states, “Shawn Campbell and 3 others (Appellants) v The King (Respondent) No 2 (Jamaica).”

With regards to conviction time, Campbell and Jones received a 25-year sentence that was reduced to 22 years and 6 months before parole after the appeal, while the ‘Teacha’ received 35 years which was reduced to 32 years and 6 months before parole, and St. John 30 years before parole, which was also decreased by 2 years and 6 months.
