On the heels of her successful 2022 track season, renowned Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce shared a motivational message during training as she prepared for the upcoming 2023 season.
The 2022 athletic season saw Fraser-Pryce dominating the track internationally. Not only did the 36-year-old secure her fifth Diamond League trophy at the Zurich Diamond League finals, but she claimed her fifth World Championships title as well.
With six sub-10.7-second finishes under her belt, Fraser-Pryce was nominated alongside the top female athletes in the world for the 2022 World Athletics Female Athlete of the Year Award.
With the new athletic season quickly approaching, Fraser-Pryce has been preparing mentally and physically for the competitions ahead. On Tuesday, the track star shared a video of herself during a gruelling training session and discussed the importance of being mentally disciplined to achieve your goals.
Fraser-Pryce noted that difficult training days usually make her feel horrible during the process but good after.
In the end, She joked that her coach should only make her run 30 metres because full laps left her entire body in agony. The sprinter had previously shared that she views every training session as a means of proving her negative thoughts wrong and dispelling her fears.
