World-celebrated Jamaican athlete Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is no stranger to the RJRGLEANER Sports Foundation’s National Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year Awards and rocked a hot pink gown for the event.
Due to a lingering injury, Fraser-Pryce was forced to start her season late in 2023 but secured her 16th medal at the World Athletics Championships nonetheless. Fraser-Pryce was nominated alongside Rushell Clayton, Jhaniele Fowler, Shericka Jackson, and Danielle Williams for Sportswoman of the Year for their achievements last year.
While Fraser-Pryce did not walk away with this year’s award, she still stunned on the event’s red carpet on Friday. Along with a white clutch, Fraser-Pryce rocked an AIIFOS hot pink Phillipa Gown, keeping in line with the elegance of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, where the ceremony was hosted.
Following the awards, the sprinter shared a few photos on her Instagram page of her look and congratulated the winners.
“Had the pleasure of attending and being nominated, yet again, for the #RJRGleaner National Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year Awards over the weekend. 🏆 Shoutout to this year’s deserving winners, who truly displayed an impressive year’s work on the track,” Fraser-Pryce stated.
