On YengDay, recognized on May 20 every year, Dancehall artiste Shenseea made it a tradition to give back to Jamaica in the form of helping its future leaders.

Last year, the international sensation paid the tuition of two lucky college dropouts (students who had to quit school because of financial problems) so that they could go back to school and earn their degrees.

This year, the Blessed singer made it known via a video that was posted on her Instagram account that for this year’s YengDay, not only will she be paying the tuition for two students this year, but that she would also be giving away 10 MacBook Pros.

In the video, she stated, “Happy YengDay to my Shenyengs, I love you guys so much and you know on this day it’s every year I give back to you guys for giving me all the love and support that you give. This year I’m paying off two students’ college tuitions as well as I’m giving away ten Mac Book Pros.”

She continued, “You can check my snap for specific instructions. Today, make sure say yuh stream Shenseea like no other. A Shenseea! Happy YengDay babes!”

The entertainer also added another video clip of when she did a school tour at The Merl Grove High School for girls. She was dressed in an all-white outfit and was singing the ShenYeng Anthem onstage as the students in the audience joined in and cheered for her.

Born Chinsea Lee, the entertainer who was born to Jamaican (mother) and Korean (father) parents is very passionate about school. She attended Exed Community College where she majored in Entertainment Management, however, due to financial troubles, she was unable to graduate.
