In a month of firsts, dancehall singjay Shenseea has graced the cover of Galore Magazine as she prepares to grace the stage at Coachella for her debut performance at the music festival.
Shenseea thanked Galore on Tuesday for featuring her on the cover of the magazine’s April issue and showcased a few pieces from her photoshoot with the magazine. Known for her trademark dragon emblem, the artiste said she was stepping into her Dragon Era and modelled several looks that incorporated a fiery, reptilian aesthetic.
A red latex gown, a green snakeskin swimsuit and raincoat were just two of the looks the Foreplay singer rocked with blazing red hair for her magazine photoshoot. Shenseea shared with Galore in her featured article that she is not afraid of outfits that may be considered extra and likes to make people stare. Shenseea said that the shoot was just in time for the release of her upcoming single Curious, which will debut on Friday ahead of her Coachella performance on Saturday.
The artiste announced that she would be releasing the track on Monday and was dripping in honey and gold jewellery in the song’s cover art. Shenseea told Galore that out of her catalogue of music, she was most excited to perform the new single at Coachella. This year’s festival will be headlined by Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Frank Ocean, and Shenseea will be performing first on April 15 and again on Saturday, April 22.
Speaking on her writing process, Shenseea told Galore that some songs are harder to bring to fruition than others, and a track’s completion time may vary from a day to a month. The Blessed singer went on to declare that her fans can expect to hear “bangers” in the future.
