Shenseea’s Album “ALPHA” Tops iTunes Reggae Albums Chart

Dancehall artiste Shenseea has proven herself to be a force on the music scene as just hours after her debut album “ALPHA” was released on March 11, it soared to the top of the charts earning the #1 spot for the Top Reggae Albums Chart on iTunes.

This success on the charts for Shenseea’s debut album cannot go unnoticed as it is seen where the young artiste has dethroned Bob Marley’s album called “Legend” that was listed as #1 and surpassed Masicka’s “438” album that holds the #3 spot.

More so, “ALPHA” was listed as #13 on the US iTunes Album chart, #1 in 5 countries while being charted in 96 countries worldwide. The album also was listed at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart behind Lil Durk’s 7220. Drake’s Certified Lover Boy took the #3 spot and Gunna’a DS4EVER at #4.

Ten of Shenseea’s songs from her album also trended on the Hot 200 chart and her manager Romeich shared that on the day of the album’s release, it was the 18th most streamed album on Apple Music.

Her album featured collaborations with some hard-hitters on the local and international music scene such as Beenie Man “Henkel Glue”, Sean Paul “Lying If I Call It Love”, Tyga “Blessed and Target”, Megan Thee Stallion “Lick”, Offset “Bouncy” and 21 Savage “R U That”.

Meanwhile, Shenseea’s songs on the album called “Target”, “Can’t Anymore”, and “Henkel Glue” topped the iTunes Reggae Albums chart list while “Body Count” and “Shen Ex Anthem” trended on YouTube as favourites by fans.

“Shen, congrats on the blessings you are getting. Keep pushing” was sent in a text message from Dancehall veteran Beenie Man as he commended the success of her album. She then shared the post and captioned “Had to get one in with @Kingbeenieman there is no other like you! I knew it was a special one”.

In celebration of the album’s success, Shenseea will be having an official release party in Los Angeles on Saturday.
