Shericka Jackson Wins Season Opener in Kingston – Watch Race

Female Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson opened her 100m season with a surprise run at the JAAA All Comers meet at the national stadium in Kingston on Saturday, May 4. Jackson who was running in lane 8 won the 100m race in a time of 11.03, on the other hand, Tina Clayton was second in 11.20.

Notably, Jackson cancelled multiple season-opening races since the start of the year, most recently withdrawing from Suzhou Dimond League meet that took place on April 27. Jackson is the reigning RJRGleaner Sportswoman of the Year, she is a two-time 200m world champion and the reigning 200m Diamond League champion.
