Following Portmore United is Arnett Gardens. The team started winning the league earlier than Portmore United as they got their first title in the 1977-78 season. However, it wasn’t until 2001 before they won the league again. It was a long wait, but eventually, they got to add more to their tally.
The team has gone on to win five titles overall. Only Portmore United has won more titles than Arnett Gardens in the Jamaican Premier League. Trivoli Gardens – FIve Titles
Trivoli Gardens is another team that has won five titles, and like Arnett Gardens, the team has finished second four times. Their first win came in the 1982-83 season. After that, they won another title in the 1998-1999 season. It also didn’t take long before the team won another championship.
They’ve won the title in the 2003-2004, 2008-2009, and 2010-11 seasons. Trivoli Gardens is one of the teams with the best chance to displace Portmore United at the top. Santos – Five Titles
Santos is a historic team in the Jamaican premier league. The team was the first to win the league when the competition started, as they were on the better side. After their first win in the 1973-74 season, they went ahead to win back-to-back-to-back titles from the 1974-75 season.
They won four straight titles, and Arnett Gardens ended their run, which was the only season they finished second in the league. But, they went on to win the 1979-80 league title. Since then, they’ve not won the league, and the team currently plays in the KSAFA Super League.
Harbour View – Four Titles
Harbour View is another team with multiple titles. They’ve won the league for quite some time, but they didn’t start until the 1999-00 season. After winning their first title at the turn of the millennium, they had to wait another seven years to get another trophy. Then, they made it three after winning the 2009-10 season’s title.
Finally, the team won the competition in the 2012-2013 season. They would want to add more to their trophy cabinet. They won their next title in the 2013-14 season and another in the 15-16 season, making it four titles. They would be pushing for another to increase their tally. They’ve been runners-up for five seasons. Therefore, there is a chance that they will win another National League title.
