Skeng Links Up With Rvssian For Possible New Song
It seems as if the “grimy” section of Dancehall is about to be reignited as recent photos of Young Jamaican prodigy Skeng, and exceptional international producer Rvssian has been seen posted by both celebrities.
After taking over underground Dancehall with his hit track on the “1 Matik riddim” entitled “Gvnman Shift”, the young Spanish Town-based entertainer quickly soared to the forefront of the genre, now pushing his head up into the light of the mainstream.
Right after the release of the intellectual “Gvnman Shift” song, Skeng went on to release a track entitled “Live Large”, which saw him slowing the pace down a bit and talking about the realness of his life story and the heights at which he hopes to take his career.
Knowing the young entertainer, however, it was a sure thing that his slow side would have just popped up on that one occasion to show he is diverse and then disappear, which it did, eventually making way for the track he released after with Intence as “Yeng” entitled “Heaven Passport”.
With the release of that song, the young deejay’s place in Dancehall was surely secured, with the added fact that he has a powerfully unique voice that is distinct from any other entertainer in the business at this time.
Another notable thing to mention about Skeng’s released music is that his most recent music videos dropped on YouTube since his big recognition has managed to soar in the millions, making him a leader in the genre, amongst established giants.
Now it appears as if producer Rvssian has found a spark of inspiration with the young deejay, as they were seen together in photos on two different occasions looking like they were on a video shoot.
For this year, Rvssian has worked with many international acts which is a normal thing for him since he is a signed producer for major label Interscope Records who has artistes such as Dababy, Eminem and Playboi Carti under their banner.
Rvssian whose real name is Tarik Johnston has also worked with Spice and Konshens as Jamaican creatives since a year on their collaboration entitled “Pay For It”, which has already passed the million views mark.
This link-up between the famous producer and Skeng is a good look for Dancehall and in the young artiste’s post where he showed the photo of him and Rvssian, the instrumentalist can be seen in the comments telling the deejay “Ting set” as if to say they have a track-ready to be released.
On Rvssian’s page, he captioned the post with him and the young entertainer by saying “Rich badness a suh the ratty gang operate”.
It is fair to say that any track that the well-known producer touches are instantly gold, and evidence of such can be seen from his early days working with Vybz Kartel on songs like “Jeans and Fitted”, and “Look Pon We” to his more mature days of producing hits like “Blessed” by Shenseea featuring Tyga, and “Lighter” by Shenseea featuring Tarrus Riley.
