Recording artiste Slash LaDat released his EP, Unexpected, showcasing his talent to tackle different genres. The 8-track project is laced with a mixture of reggae and dancehall and was officially released on March 3. Slash LaDat, born Dwayne Knight, also produced the mini album, which features only two collaborations.
The EP, available on all digital platforms, comprises the tracks Explosion, Tik Tok, Dance With Me featuring Tom Hype, No War, Dolly Body, Selfish (Radio and Explicit versions), and Rich Inna Life featuring Blass.
While Tik Tok is a dancehall dancing number for the ladies, Dance With Me is a reggae song that also targets the ladies, urging them to dance. In Dolly Body, he professes his love for a woman’s physique, and in Selfish, he talks about his desire for a woman who cheats on her partner to be with him.
Meanwhile, Explosion speaks about his love for and dedication to Ganja; No War advocates for peace across the island; and Rich Inna Life touches on making fast money and living large.
Slash LaDat said the following about his upcoming projects and a summer tour, “The rest of my plans for 2023 is to put in more work I also have a collaboration with I-Wayne to release some time this yeah also some more music videos from off my EP to drop this year as well an European tour coming up for summer.”
