Son ‘kills father’ during Zoom video conference in New York

Dwight Powers, A 72­year­old man has been stabbed to death by his son during a zoom video conference in New York state. It was his 32­year­old son Thomas Scully­ Powers who attacked him.

Dwight Powers was on a video chat at his home in Long Island’s Amityville village. His son ran away jumping through the window after commiting the grewsome act.

Suffolk County Police said that they received several 911 calls on this issue from the zoom chats participants on Thursday afternoon. It took some time for the police to locate the home of Mr. Dwight Powers as the participants did not know where he lived.

Police arrested Scully ­Powers in the area about an hour later. They found him injured and took him to the hospital. In a statement Suffolk County police said that the suspect was charged with second­ degree murder.

The detailed information will be provided when the suspect gets release from the hospital police added.
