Spice and Nicholas share two children: a son, Nicholas Jr., who they had in 2007, and a daughter, Nicholatoy, who was born in 2011, before the couple later ended their relationship. Speaking on The Fix podcast, Spice shared the various issues she has had with Nicholas, whom she has clashed with several times online over the years.

She shared that her son is very aware of the things that happened between his parents as he sees everything online. According to Spice, this has greatly impacted his relationship with his father and highlighted Nicholas’s statements that their son may be the child of her and Baby Cham.

“My son is older now suh mi nuh affi tell him nutting again. Him si everyting pan di internet, which has damaged the relationship with him father [ … ] Rememba seh a di fada come out and seh him want DNA test, di pickney dem favah Baby Cham. Him come out come seh all kind a tings suh di pickney si fi himself. Di pickney nuh blind di pickney can read,” Spice stated.

Spice also expressed that she felt Nicholas should have given her more grace, as she has been the only one taking care of them.

“Is always let me guh pan di internet and seh someting or do someting or whatevea. You do everyting except teck up a dollar US and buy a book or a pencil [ … ] I take care of these kids by myself,” Spice said.

The God A Bless Me artiste added that it is not just about Nicholas not providing for the children financially; he is also not present in their lives. Spice explained that despite all the love that she gives her son, a boy still needs a father or a male figure in his life.

She went on to share that they attempted to co-parent the children after he reached out to her after her near-death illness in 2022, but that also did not work out.

“We were trying, but mi pickney dem big. Mi son a 17 mi pickney nuh need nuh pampas nuh more nuh feeding nuh what. Yuh already missing out of dem life fi 17 years, wah kind of co-parent now wi ago do now [ … ] Suh when you deh pan mi phone a come text me foolishness, mi jus block him wah day yah because man mi nuh have time,” Spice stated.

The artiste added that she has not interfered with Nicholas getting to know his children. However, she has sole custody of them now because of his absence and unwillingness to help.
