Widely regarded by countless dancehall fans as the queen of dancehall Grace Latoya Hamilton, better known as Spice, has once again pulled off a major deceptive public stunt that almost broke the internet. Since then, Spice has come out publicly via Instagram Live to dispel pregnancy rumours and set the record straight.

In her recent Instagram Live, which took place on Friday morning, the dancehall star revealed to her thousands of fans who were on the Live at the time that, in fact, the photos in question were actually a metaphor to depict her rebirth after she was given a second chance in life.

Spice outlined that, “I never said I was pregnant. I said God has been good to me and that photo is just me celebrating my second chance at life.”

Spice told her fans that after a medical scare following surgery in the Dominican Republic last October, she was blessed to be alive today, explaining to her fans that that was the real meaning behind the viral photos. The mother of two went on to reveal in the emotional Instagram Live her midriff showing a scar she claimed was a result of the surgery.

The 40-year-old also revealed that the photo shoot was for her new music video, however, Spice is well known for doing these types of publicity stunts and stirring up controversy, so many of her fans are not surprised by the latest confirmation from Spice. Largely because of the cliche that defines the entertainment industry, ‘controversy sells.’

Many dancehall fans, however, did not buy into the pregnancy rumours circulating the dancehall hitmaker, mainly because of the fact that she also revealed a few tour dates shortly before the photos were released.
