The music video opens with Spice preparing food at a lavish house, seemingly in a blissful relationship. However, things take a dark turn when one of her friends reveals that her boyfriend has been unfaithful, not just with another woman but with someone who Spice knows.

This revelation is a double betrayal that sets the stage for Spice’s vengeful plot. Notably, the male who played Spice’s boyfriend in the music video resembles her last known boyfriend Justin Budd.

Unbeknownst to her cheating boyfriend, Spice had planted a camera in their home, capturing his infidelity firsthand. The visuals of the video show Spice watching the footage, her expression shifting from heartbreak to determination as she plots her next move.

Some lyrics, “Now I got another Ex Boyfriend, I’ma need a next boyfriend, I got another ex… weak man cah date alpha female, that’s why most relationships fail… nah sidung with abuse nuh mistreatment nuh use.”

In the end, Spice killed her boyfriend in the music video after being overwhelmed with emotions after seeing him cheating with the same friend who informed her that he was cheating.

The music video is more than just a narrative of betrayal; it’s a showcase of Spice’s resilience and defiant ways. According to Spice “men duh the things to cause the dispute” and then turn around blaming the females, “that’s truth” she sings.

Ex Boyfriend‘ was produced by Spice Official Entertainment, with the track being mixed and mastered by Ricardo “Redboom Supa Mix” Reid and recorded at Ireland Studio. The riddim was composed by Keron YowLevite Young.

Ex Boyfriend‘ is expected to feature on Spice’s upcoming album ‘Mirror 25,’ which is scheduled for release on August 9. With this track, Spice continues to solidify her status as a powerful voice in the Dancehall scene, unafraid to address personal and provocative themes through her music.
