St. Mary Police Hunt for Man Who Killed his Uncle at Funeral

A man allegedly stabbed his uncle to death during a funeral in Whitehall St. Mary on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Reports state that sometime during the ongoing funeral, an argument erupted between the nephew and uncle duo which ultimately turned violent.

Although the details of what truly transpired are rudimentary, it was said that the funeral was being held for the suspect’s daughter who had previously passed away when the argument ensued.

There is now another death in the family as reports state that 60-year-old Marvin Watson, uncle to the suspect in question, was stabbed during the confrontation. Watson later succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.

The police are now on the lookout for the unnamed man who fled shortly after the incident occurred.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
