Taco Bell Employee Throws Hot Water On Customers – Watch Video
In a video released by the attorneys of a woman and her 16-year-old niece, a Taco Bell employee can be seen throwing a pitcher of very hot water at both women because they allegedly requested for their order to be corrected.
According to their clients, Britany Davis and her niece identified as C.T in court papers, they entered the restaurant to speak to employees after they got their drive-thru order wrong three times. From one camera angle, the Taco Bell employee is seen filling up a pitcher with what appears to be steaming hot water. Another shows Davis and C.T at the counter when they are approached by the employee, who then throws the contents of the pitcher directly at them. On another camera, both can be seen running to their car.
According to the lawsuit filed by the pair, they suffered second and third-degree burns that caused permanent scarring. Davis reportedly went into shock on the way to the emergency room and suffered 10 seizures that caused brain damage. Both women are asking for more than $1 million in damages from Yum! Brands (Taco Bell’s parent company), the local franchise and two employees.
