Capleton Mourns the Sudden passing of his Mother

Capleton is in mourning after his mother, 73-year-old Mabel Downer-Forbes, died suddenly Thursday. “She got up and made her breakfast and then she went to the bathroom where family members found her body. We don’t know what is the cause as no autopsy has been done to determine the cause of death. She will be missed. Capleton was very close to his mother, they called her Auntie Di, but as rastas, we say Mama Live,” Claudette Kemp, Capleton’s manager told a media source The artiste mother was living with other family members in Kingston at the time of her death.  Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased 😢

Capleton freed of rape charge

Capleton was dominant in the news during the first 3 months of 2019 because he was accused of rape. However, on March 27, the case was dismissed during the committal proceeding (which is used to determine if there is a real case to be answered to) it took place in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on March 27, as the alleged victim never appeared in court. The Entertainer was accused of forcibly committing a sexual offence with a female hairdresser after he hired her to groom his hair while he was at a New Kingston hotel on April 28, 2018. Detectives arrested and charged the 51-year-old entertainer. The police reported that the deejay allegedly raped the woman while they were at the hotel about 11:20 am on the day mentioned. Capleton and His Views About the Current State of Dancehall

The Fire Man entertainer spoke about the Jamaican entertainment business and how competitive it is. He mentioned the clashes between the artistes that were simply lyrical and said he doesn’t believe the young artistes would be able to handle the clashes. He said he is not into clashing, but he has clash music, just in case he is in a situation where he needs it. When the young artistes perform with music that sounds different from what is being streamed online and fans detect a problem, this will cause them to have a career that is not long-lasting, they need to work on their stagecraft, he believes. Capleton Rocks Costa Rica after Sold out U.S.A. tour

Days after completing his sold-out American tour, reggae superstar Capleton flew into Costa Rica where thousands of his fans turned out in the rain to see him perform. Capleton performed many of his old classic reggae and dancehall songs as well as his newer hits. Capleton had the audience in Costa Rica jumping and screaming for his energetic performance. Capleton had just finished a sold out tour of several cities in America. While there he even had a new artist from his camp named Ffurious open up for him on several nights. Ffurious is now on the Billboard charts with his single Set Suh from the album Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica Reloaded.

Reggae, Dancehall star Capleton aka the fireman was cleared of all charges laid against him back in 2018. The Rape charges were thrown out yesterday(wednesday march 27) during a committal proceeding in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.. According to Capleton’s current manager “I don’t know how to contain my joy; Capleton has been freed, God is good. So this decision is an affirmation of truth and rights.” Claudette Kemp told Loop. He also went on to state that The police tried to change the original statement given by the girl in the matter, to a new one. The Fire King- Capleton and his friends decided to give back to his fans by putting on a stage show at the National Arena, in Kingston on Saturday November 10, 2018. “A St. Mary mi come from, come a town” was supported by many Jamaican artistes, as Capleton always likes to give as much as he can to the people, who are in need. The show was held in St Mary before but the rain closed it down, so he realized that he needed a place that is covered.
