Taxi-man Chops his 8month Old Son To Death, Injured Girlfriend in the Process

Reports state that early Thursday morning May 30th, a rout Taxi man from Porus in Manchester chopped and killed his eight-month-old son. According to the Mandeville police the incident took place on McKinley Drive in the parish.
Mother Racquel Walters who teaches at Ramble Primary School in the parish was found by the police suffering from multiple chop wounds and her son also with chop wounds, he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead while Walters admitted in critical condition.

The name of the known taxi-man from the parish is still being held pending further investigations. As a result Councillor Claudia Baker from the Porus division is asking the suspected killer to turn himself into the police before angry residents find him and take matters into their own hands, jungle justice.
Baker told the Star that “We spoke two days ago and I was expected to meet with her today (yesterday). I got the call this morning (yesterday) and was told that the baby had died.”
further reports state that the killer father taxi-man burnt his vehicle after the incident and manage to escape from the community.
The principal of Ramble, Lenford Pinnock stated that “It was really traumatic for the students this morning, especially those who are in her class. They wept this morning.” he told The Star.
Police had to call off a search late Thursday night but are expected to continue in coming days.
