The Voice’s ‘Blake Shelton’ Thought Buju Banton was another Name for Warm Bread
The jokes kept on coming on Monday night, when the Voice judge, Blake Shelton during Episode 3 of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Season 20 brought giggles to Jamaicans who were in the audience.
Buju Banton the Dancehall Legend’s name was being mistaken for warm bread. He also tried to win over a contestant, Pia Renee in the blind auditions, he highlighted his association with a popular Reggae aficionado.
All this happened after a nail biting finish and the judges hit their buzzers almost at the same time, to Pia. She auditioned with ‘Master Blaster Jammin’ the Stevie Wonder’s tribute to Bob Marley. The 37-year-old Mom had declared that Reggae had her heart.
This caused Blake to declare his love for Reggae and Ska, he revealed that he is influenced by his fiancé Gwen Stefan. He even told everyone that he planned to marry Gwen soon because she is giving birth to his twins while he is at work.
Pia chose the other judge John in the end, but Blake was very amusing.
