Member of Parliament for the Clarendon South Eastern division, Pearnel Charles Jr. is in a distraught state after thieves removed some important government documents from his Toyota Prado. The incident happened while the fairly young politician was communing with family members, after the recent loss of an uncle.

According to footage collected by the Police from surveillance cameras, at approximately 9:30 am at his family’s nursing home in Russell Heights St. Andrew, the criminals scoped out the area, only to return later smashing the back window of the Politician’s vehicle, eventually taking the Government documents.

By way of the security cameras facing the road, the robbers were seen in action and investigations launched to aid the recovery of the important state files.

The documents stolen from the JLP administrator were also taken with a computer bag and a wallet.

The incident has left Charles, speaking out for the popularization of surveillance cameras to make situations such as what happened to him better able to be handled. This, according to him, the Government official, will be of great help to take the burden of complicated investigations off Police officers.
