As they continue to make strides in the world of track and field, two of Jamaica’s newest and most promising sprinting sensations, Tia and Tina Clayton, have signed with the Wisynco Group Limited as brand ambassadors via its WATA brand.
The company announced that the Clayton twins would be joining their team of brand ambassadors, which also includes Shericka Jackson, on Thursday via their Wata and Wata Sport Instagram pages.
Securing corporate sponsorship is often a crucial step in athletes’ professional careers. The Claytons had previously signed with international apparel company Nike in July 2022.
The former Edwin Allen High students ended their academic careers at the school last year as they signed professional contracts with coach Stephen Francis’s MVP Track and Field Club in Kingston. Both girls were members of Jamaica’s 2022 4x100m world record-setting women’s under-20 team in Nairobi, Kenya, which also included Serena Cole and Kerrica Hill.

Tina and Tia also secured gold in the 2022 (U20) CARIFTA Games 4×100m relay and later won individual medals in the 100m, with Tina seizing gold and Tia claiming silver. Tina was later dubbed the Junior Female Athlete of the Year by Athletics Weekly.
