This year Curvy Diva, Ishawna and Tifa have signed up to be at this year’s event on Independence-day this year.

Suelle Anglin, the associate director of marketing, communications and engagement of the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, all Sexuals and Gays (JLAG) is saying members of that community love dancehall music.

She says even though a number of the Dancehall songs has problematic lyrics in them, Gays love to listen to feel-good music and they enjoy dancehall music as well.

Having dancehall artistes at their event really means a lot to them even though their relationship with dancehall artistes in the past have been very complexed.

There is still divided opinions on the matter and many ongoing debates as to whether or not this event should be kept. Based on proceeding so far, the Female deejays support the event While the Male artistes are against the event.
