Tommy Lee Sparta Gives Emotional Performance to Close Sumfest 2023 – Watch Video
Mobay dancehall star Tommy Lee Sparta whose real name is Leroy Russell Junior gave his first major performance in three years after being recently released from incarceration.
In the bright light of Saturday morning, July 22, many patrons stuck around to see the grimy dancehall artiste perform his top songs.
Taking to the stage after Masicka, Tommy Lee Sparta also gave a lengthy performance, even at one point requesting patrons to make a TikTok challenge along with him by asking them to take out their phones and record him onstage as he also records himself performing with the crowd behind him.
Notably, Tommy Lee Sparta took aim at Alkaline on multiple occasions during his performance as he sings diss songs aimed at the Vendetta Boss.
During the later part of his set, Tommy Lee reminisced on his time in lockup which brought him to tears leading into the song “Blessings”. He also recalled a conversation with Vybz Kartel while he was in prison and what Kartel told him about not being able to see his kids and grandkids grow.
According to Tommy Lee going to prison was one of the best things to happen to him in his life because he used the time to make well-needed positive changes in his life.
