Tommy Lee Sparta’s Court date was finally set for his trial on gun-related charges and it’s set to March, 24.

The trial date was set after his application for bail that was being handled by his lawyers in the gun court, was rejected.

Tommy Lee whose real name is Leroy Russell was charged in December last year.

The dancehall star was found with an illegal gun and ammunition in New Kingston during a police operation.

The Director of Public Prosecution opposed the bail application.

The deejay was travelling in a motor vehicle along Holborn Rd in St Andrew, on December 14 when the vehicle was stopped and searched by members of the JCF Specialised operations unit and a firearm was found in his waistband.

The deejay was charged the following day and he could face up to 5 years in prison for his offenses.
