Tommy Lee Sparta who has been detained since July 7 will learn what’s next, today July 30th after being in lockup for almost two months.

As reported earlier in the week by the Jamaica gleaner, things seem to be on the up-and-up, his attorney expressed that he submitted a “habeas corpus” for his client. An “habeas corpus” this handles reports of unlawful arrests/detention and request that the individual be brought in front the court to determined the credibility of the detention.

According to his lawyer Earnest Smith, it might seem that the police have ulterior motives to punish the deejay.

The attorney-at-law also expressed that his client is “exhausted with the onslaught of police officers trying to lock him down and with the way he’s being treated on numerous occasions by the police”.

Tommy Lee Sparta whose given name is Leroy Russell was advised to report to the Freeport Police Station and answer questions about the recent spike of gun-related violence in the community of Flanker where he hails from Tommy Lee was detained upon his arrival at the police station.

Based on the rules of the SOE, he can be kept for up to 90 days without even being charged.
