Two People Charged For Mocha Fest at Rick’s Cafe

The reports coming from Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie, who spoke at a Post Cabinet press briefing this morning is that charges have been laid against two members of the management of Rick’s Cafe, who hosted the Mocha Fest.

The recent videos released online of the event showed hundreds of patrons partying without masks, something that is in total contradiction to the Disaster Disk Management Act. An in-depth investigation into the event by the local government minister also show that Rick’s Cafe, had at least one illegitimate license.

However, the Negril entertainment spot, recently got their documents right through the Westmorland Municipal Corporation.

When asked by Journalists about the details of the charge, local government minister Desmond Mckenzie, said that would be for the police to disclose however later in his talk he explained that the Government is acting in the best interest of Jamaicans. According to Minister Mckenzie, the Entertainment Cafe, is still not allowed to keep parties regardless of them getting their documents straight
