U.S News Anchor Commits Suicide After Cancelled Engagement
Popular United States news anchor from Wisconsin resorted to ending her own life after revealing to a close friend and her ex-fiancée Kyle Haase via text message, the pain that she had been enduring since the split.
Neena Pacholke, 27 years old, committed suicide at her home in Wausau, Wisconsin in August (Tuesday, August 27, 2022). The house was bought by the couple (Pacholke and Haase) sometime last July.
According to police reports, the authorities were sent to the house subsequent to receiving an alert from a friend of Pacholke to do a welfare check. She told the police that her friend was “making suicidal comments.”
In the text sent she said, “He [Kyle] told me he hates me and will feel like a million bucks once I am out of his life.”
A message was also sent to Haase before she performed the gruesome act, which read, “I`m so sorry to do this to you but I can’t handle any of this pain anymore.” Haase had broken off their engagement seven weeks before they were due to be married.
When the cops arrived at the scene, Neena was still alive, however, shortly after they heard a noise and the sound of something falling. When they gained access to the building, Pacholke had reportedly already shot herself once in the head with a handgun.
Inquiries into the origins of the gun showed (via receipt) that she had purchased the weapon just a little over an hour before she killed herself. Her online searches also disclosed that she had been researching ways to commit suicide the night before the incident.
The former news anchor played the position of point guard at the University of South Florida (USF) from 2013 – 2016. Members of the school’s women’s basketball team expressed their heartbreak over her death.
