UNITY NEEDED, SAYS ROZARRO

Dancehall has been known for clashes among its artistes. However, a new generation of acts is looking to change that.

Released yesterday, 6ix Out Deh is produced by Deadline and Hights of Hights Records. It’s now available on iTunes.

“If you look at the current culture in dancehall alone everything seems to be a one-man show. Every man deh to a corner by himself a do him thing, you don’t really see artistes doing much collaborations. We come fi show them that there is strength in unity,” RoZarro said.

According to RoZarro, the dancehall game is a tug of war, as most acts are “unwilling to share the spotlight”.

RoZarro who’s given name is Tivel Clarke hails from the parish of Portland but relocated to Sandy Park in the corporate area.

He got his break in 2011 when he recorded Get Gal Easy.

He landed his first collab with Squash last year on the single Dark World (Tuff Chin Label).

He continued to say that,

“Right now Squash Hot a road, him pretty much dominate the whole a last year. Him reach and him a extend the rope in order to help the rest a man dem rise up. Pretty soon it will be my turn to do the same, and a that me want the man dem understand,” said RoZarro added.
