Quada one of the fast-rising stars the dancehall, is now in the custody of the police, after he was charged for murder and arson. It is alleged that he was connected to the mob killing of Miguel Williams in 2019.
The Victim was beaten, set on fire and his house was also burnt down.
After there were rumors spreading that Williams was involved in the rape and killing of eight-year-old Shantae Skyers of Sterling Castle Heights whose decomposing body was found in a section of the same community in April.
She had been reported missing for many days after she went to school and did not return home. There was public outrage when people heard of the tragedy.
The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), reported that Quada, whose given name is Shaquelle Clarke, was charged after a question and answer session with the police at the Constant Spring Station.
The CCU also claimed that he was accompanied by his lawyer, when he turned in himself 2 days ago.
Quada who is best known for his singles “More Money More Life”, “Hail”, and “New Gal Alert”, is the second person charged for Williams’ murder.
Andrew Breakcliffe of Sterling Castle Heights was also charged in December.
The Court date was not set for the case yesterday, it is not known if he will be bailed.
