US Embassy Issues WARNING, Not to Travel to Several Communities in Jamaica – Video Report

As reported on Wednesday evening, The United States of America Embassy in Jamaica has issued a strong security alert to US government personnel to not travel to crime hot-spot areas, making note of August Town and Cassava Piece in St Andrew.
There has been an increase in shootings and gun related violence over the past two weeks in the upper St. Andrew communities, the shootings were highlighted in the killing of Dog Paw. After Paw’s death, several men were seen parading weapons which suggests the shootings are not over.
Several other communities across the island have also been black-listed by the embassy.
Killings in Jamaica has gone up by 10.4% this year when compared to the corresponding period last year.
