US Student Reportedly Raped by Hotel Bartender in St. James

A Bartender at a popular St. James hotel was accused of raping a young girl who was staying at the hotel.

The bartender, a 25-year-old male who hails from Duanvale, Trelawny, was picked out of a lineup after it was reported to the police that Ondani Rowe, the male in question, assaulted an 18-year-old female guest.

A reliable source from the OBSERVER ONLINE reported that the unnamed female, a student from the United States, reported the incident to the police. Allegedly, on Thursday, November 10, the student went to the hotel bar to have a drink and after being served she went to use the bathroom where she was subsequently followed and assaulted. It is unclear if any sort of substance was placed in the drink to make the victim susceptible.

The ordeal was reported to the Barrett Town Police Station where Rowe was summoned the next day and picked out by the student from a lineup. Rowe was arrested and charged thereafter.
