World-renowned Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt will be the first athlete to receive Top Legends’ commemorative banknote as they honour the greats of athletics.
Created to honour icons of sports and entertainment, Top Legends’ memorabilia banknotes use similar methods that governments use to print national currencies. In addition to 21st-century technology, Top Legends utilises old-world currency printing techniques to create what has been described as one of the most sophisticated pieces of memorabilia ever.
The company recently unveiled an exclusive value note of Canadian ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky.
According to Top Legends, additional sporting and entertainment legends will be recognised in individual commemorative series in the future. Athletics will be the focus of Top Legends’ next series, with Bolt set to be the company’s first honouree.
Considered the greatest sprinter ever, Bolt has received numerous awards and honours throughout his career and subsequent retirement. The eight-time Olympic gold medalist is set to be honoured in Miramar, Florida, later this month with the unveiling of his statue. He had previously received a bronze statue in Jamaica’s National Stadium in 2017.
