The Irie FM Music Awards will be held on Wednesday, March 01, 2023, commencing at 7 PM and can be streamed live at www.iriefm.net. The tagline for this year’s awards is “Honouring The Music, Representing You.”

Valiant’s real name is Raheem Bowes and he hails from the Stony Hill/Mannings Hill area of Saint Andrew. Bowes began singing and writing songs at a tender age before his rise to stardom began when a viral video of him saying the slang “Kotch e hat a lie” was released in 2022. The artiste used all the attention he received from the slang/video to propel his musical career. He has since released a number of songs that have trended or become hits in the Dancehall space.

Valiant is known for songs such as St Mary, North Carolina, Cut All Losses, Siance, and Speed Off, among others. The entertainer is continuously working and recently released the official music video for his latest song, Lover Boy, on Valentine’s Day.

The singer was once a member of the Unruly Camp, led by renowned Dancehall artist Popcaan. However, they parted ways and Valiant moved on to form his own group called Diplomats.

Valiant might also have other works in store as recent videos on Instagram of a link up between the eight-time nominee and Afropop singer Rotimi, who just landed on the island ahead of his performance for the Lovers and Friends concert.
