Valiant Thanks Irie FM and Jamaicans for 4 Award Wins – Watch Videos
After being nominated in eight categories at the Irie FM Music Awards, which took place on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, “Koth E Hat” deejay Valiant walked away with four award wins.
Ever humble and grateful for how far he has risen in the dancehall industry, Valiant took to his social media account and thanked his fans via Instagram for helping him to reach the heights he attained. He posted multiple videos on the platform, in the stories area, with one of them captioned, “God I thank you big up to my fans who Are loyal to me from dem time to now and big up my team diplomats big everybody weh respect my work 🙏🏿 NEW MUSIC SOON.”
The Siance entertainer won awards in the categories of Male DJ of the Year, Singjay of the Year, New Artiste of the Year, and Slang of the Year for his viral “Kotch E Hat, A Lie” slang.
Giving a speech to all his supporters via video, Valiant stated, “Yow, mi jus wah big up Irie FM, di whole a Jamaica, and everybody weh a support Diplomats team right now…mi overwhelm. This is a milestone fi Diplomats, a far way we a forward from.” Valiant expressed that he and his team faced a lot of difficulties to get where they are but that the support and award wins will push them to go even further.
Continuing he said, “this 2023 wi a gi d fans dem weh dem wah hear. Wi nuh response weh nobody affi say, wi jus a do we and wi a be weself same way…”
Congratulatory remarks filled the account valiant_update_ comment section of the post, captioned, “Thanks to all those who supported me. Put mi name in a the (HALL OF FAME).”
