Vybz Kartel and his Co-Accused Case cut from 3 weeks to 1 week

[Sharingbuttons]The lawyers who have been representing Vybz Kartel and his co-accused have given many reasons for quashing the conviction of their clients during the appeal this week.

The fact that Vybz Kartel was at a hospital being treated for a dog bite at the time given by the witness as the time when the murder took place, the cell phones that were taken from the accused were not properly protected, a jury was bribed and still allowed to render a verdict, the adverse publicity of the case by persons in the police force.

Even the judge was blasted and told that he doesn’t understand the law. Other questionable exhibits were being accepted by the judge to be used by jurors as well.

Kartel, Shawn Storm, Andre St. John and Kahira Jones were convicted in 2014 after they were found guilty of murdering Clive “Lizard” Williams and given mandatory life sentences. However, their lawyers are trying all they can to set them free.

The Director of Public Prosecution has stated that the best evidence was provided in the case and the juror that was bribed in order to have Vybz Kartel and his co-accused to be released from prison. It is possible that the witness who gave the statement was not sure of the time when the murder took place since he had stated that he had to run for his life.

The appeal period has been cut from 3 weeks to 1 week and attacking the judge might not be a good idea. We would all like to see a fair trial, and a justice system that works in the right way.
