Vybz Kartel and his legal team are confident that they will be winning the appeal, but they are not taking it for granted. They want to remain calm even on the music scene and Kartel takes the advice of his lawyers very seriously.

Putting out new music with lyrics that could easily be seen as controversial, and that might cause the judges to decide on a verdict that could keep Kartel in prison. So now there is a halt on all new music until the verdict has been handed down.

Vybz Kartel aka Adijah Palmer, Andre St John, Kahira Jones and Shawn “Storm” Campbell are all waiting on the judges from the Court of Appeal to return a verdict. The judges need time to review each case thoroughly before they decide on the verdict and this could take a long time. Due to the public interest in the case, the verdict could be reached a bit faster. .
